Hatha is a general type of yoga that includes most physical yoga postures (asanas) and breathing practices (pranayama). Hatha Yoga is suitable for beginners. (2) Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice. Its yoga style is more dynamic and invigorating. Yin Yoga is holding stretches for a long period, which focus on our deepest and connective tissues like ligaments, joints and bones rather than our muscles. The main difference between Yin Yoga and other types of yoga is holding different passive yoga poses for several minutes.

(3) Hot Yoga

In general, Hot Yoga means practicing yoga in a heated and humid room. The temperature of the heated room is kept at 95F to 105F and the humidity is 40 percent. Hot Yoga consists of a series of different standing and stretching postures in a flowing vinyasa style. It aims to contract all major muscle groups and raise your pulse. The hot and humid environment helps to loosen your muscles and detoxify your body through sweating.

(4) Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga is a type of yoga that is combined with traditional yoga poses, Pilates, acrobatics and dance. Aerial Yoga is using a hammock or yoga swing to practice different yoga postures. It originated in New York since 2014 and also known as “anti-gravity yoga”. The hammock and yoga swing can support your hips to perform some forward or backward bend yoga postures much easier and with less strain when your body is suspended in the air. This type of yoga benefits to stretch and strengthen the whole body, improve blood circulation and digestive system.
